Block-Based Coding for Educators Introduction

Course Description

This course introduces South African educators to the fundamentals of block-based coding as used in the Coding and Robotics CAPS curriculum. Educators will develop a strong foundation in computational thinking, algorithms, sequencing, loops and conditionals using block-based coding platforms such as WeeeCode and Micro:bit environments.

The course focuses on practical classroom implementation, enabling educators to confidently teach coding concepts using age-appropriate, visual programming tools aligned to DBE requirements.
